In this three-episode movie, Michelangelo Antonioni touches the problem of deviant youth whose crimes are justified by absurd and obscure motives: in Paris some teenagers on a trip in the woods kill a classmate. In Rome, a young middle-class man, engaged in cigarette smuggling, shoots a worker in a clash with the police. In London, a young man thirsting for fame strangles an elderly prostitute and, convinced that he has committed a perfect crime, declares himself to the press.
