In a beautiful seaside hotel, preparations are in full swing for Eleonora’s wedding, who will marry Fabrizio, known as El Tigre, in the afternoon. Each of the excited bridesmaids—Vanessa, Linda, and Akiko (who is sweetly expecting Billo)—gives the bride an accessory to make her outfit even more chic. Meanwhile, Polina, the mother, presents her with a jewelry box: “These belonged to your poor father. The only thing we have left of him.” Eleonora is taken aback to find that instead of jewelry, the box contains three teeth, relics of her father who was killed years earlier in an attack. It is then that Polina asks her to fulfill her father’s dying wish to be buried in Gorizia, in a small cemetery on the border between Italy and Slovenia.

Thus begins the hopeful journey of Linda, Eleonora, Akiko, and Vanessa, leading them on an unforgettable road trip with the main goal of helping Eleonora forget her future wedding. The protagonists will travel from South to North, in a whirlwind of adventures, ultimately arriving at a small family home in Gorizia, where they will discover new facets of their personalities they never knew they had.
