Over the years, Minerva Pictures has developed one of the strongest expertise in the digital exploitation of audiovisual content at both European and international levels, establishing collaborations with all the most influential digital distribution platforms.

Minerva Pictures is the first independent company to launch seven channels on Amazon Prime Video, starting from 2020, in the Prime Video Channels section: Rarovideo Channel, the editorial label described by the New York Times as “the finest European film boutique,” Full Action, pure energy and adrenaline, Minerva Classic, the memory of Italian cinema, The Film Club, the other side of cinema, Django Western, with all the epic of the great West, WeShort, the channel for great short films, and Temptation Channel, with forbidden stories and overwhelming emotions, all also available on TIMVISION. The company is also the first and only Italian firm to enter the Apple world with its own channel, Minerva Pictures, on Apple TV+.

Minerva Pictures’ digital offering expands through its TV channels. From 2020 to today, the company has launched eight FAST Channels: Bizzarro Movies, Cinema Italiano, CineWestern, Adrenaline Movies, Risate all’italiana, Inazuma Eleven Go, Horror Club, and Movieitaly Channel, available for free on major Connected TVs and platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, Rakuten TV, LG Channels, Plex, Rlaxx TV, Xiaomi, TCL, and Philips, both in Italy and abroad. In addition to working steadily with TVOD platforms such as Google Play, Rakuten TV, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Variety, and Sky, Minerva Pictures also collaborates with AVOD platforms Pluto TV and Rakuten TV.

Since 2014, Minerva Pictures has been present on YouTube with Film&Clips, the leading ecosystem for free and legal cinema in Italy and one of the first in Europe. With over 10 million total subscribers, 40 million unique users per month, and more than 5 billion views worldwide, Film&Clips today is a fully integrated network between the main channel, with over 5 million subscribers, and nearly 100 vertical channels divided by genre and language, 14 of which have reached the special milestone of 100,000 subscribers and received YouTube’s Silver Creator Award. In 2023, Film&Clips further expanded its horizons by embracing the world of short films, launching two channels powered by WeShort, the streaming platform for great short films co-owned by Minerva Pictures.

In the SVOD world, Minerva Pictures launched Movieitaly+ in 2022, the first and only subscription streaming service entirely dedicated to Italian cinema for audiences in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Israel, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Portugal, Latin America, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, and the Netherlands. With over 600 titles in Italian, with subtitles in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Japanese, Movieitaly+ promotes, through cinema’s allure, the language, landscapes, customs, stories, and the best of Italian culture. As of April 2023, Movieitaly+ is also available on Roku.

Minerva Pictures also launched the multichannel SVOD platform The Film Club in 2022. With seven available channels, The Film Club is the first Italian multichannel platform that brings its audience back to the cinema! An exclusive catalog of auteur films, genre, classics, cult, action, and rare films. The channels can be subscribed to individually, or by choosing The Film Club Premium subscription plan, which provides access to a constantly updated catalog of over 1,200 titles and offers a free cinema ticket each month to use on Thursdays at one of the 2,500 affiliated screens throughout Italy, including UCI and The Space circuits. Since 2022, The Film Club has been an Official Partner of Venice’s International Critics’ Week (SIC).

Finally, in 2022, Minerva Pictures launched Visit Italy With Movies, a digital project aimed at promoting the internationalization of Italy’s image through cinema and audiovisuals. Visit Italy With Movies offers film enthusiasts, lovers of Italian culture, and tourists worldwide a virtual space to discover and, with just one click, visit the locations where their favorite movies were filmed.
