DGA Awards 2023: Alice Diop nominated for Saint Omer

Another very significant nomination for Alice Diop – director of the highly celebrated Saint Omer – winner of two Golden Lions in Venice, Oscar nominee for France and selected by the Directors Guild of America, the union that gathers about 18 thousand directors who work in cinema and television all over the world.
“The work recognized this year represents the amazing power of film in the hands of these gifted directors to tell deeply moving stories that profoundly affect us all”, DGA President Leslie Linka Glatter said in a statement while announcing the nominations for First Time Feature Film Prize.
The ceremony will be held on February 18 2023, approximately one month before the Oscars.
