The fifteen-year-old Holly calls the school to inform them that she will be staying at home for the entire day. Shortly afterward, a terrible fire breaks out in the school, claiming the lives of several students. The community, devastated by the tragedy, comes together to try to overcome the trauma. Anna, a teacher intrigued by Holly and her strange premonition, invites her to join her volunteer group. Holly’s presence seems to bring tranquility, warmth, and hope to everyone she encounters, but soon more and more people begin to seek Holly and her cathartic energy, demanding more and more from the young girl.
The film, co-produced by the Dardenne Brothers, is the fifth feature film by Belgian director Fien Troch, who returns to the Lido after winning the Best Director Award with “Home” in the Horizons section.
