In 1959 the journalist Ed Myers (Giovanni Ribisi) is in Cuba to track down his idol, the legendary Ernest Hemingway. Hidden in a private estate with his wife Mary (Joely Richardson), the elusive author will teach the young Myers to find his literary voice, while around them the first sparks of the Cuban revolution inflame the spirits.
