The Seduction of Mimi

1972 - Comedy

A cult classic featuring Giancarlo Giannini and Mariangela Melato. Mimì, a man from Catania, is fired because of his political beliefs. With the help of the mafia, he finds work as a metalworker in a factory in Turin, far from his young wife. In Turin, he becomes the lover of Fiore, a woman who bears him a child. When he returns home and discovers that his wife is pregnant by a brigadier, he seduces the brigadier’s wife in revenge, but things become irreparably complicated.

The restoration was curated by the National Museum of Cinema in collaboration with Minerva Pictures, using negatives from Cinecittà Studios and the Turin Film Archive.
