Judas’ Gospel, the new film directed by Giulio Base, featuring an international cast including Rupert Everett, Paz Vega, John Savage, and Abel Ferrara, has been pre-sold by Minerva Pictures for distribution in Latin America.
Judas is born in a brothel and, after a childhood marked by violence, becomes the powerful and ruthless protector of the place. His life changes when he meets Jesus, who saves his sister Mary Magdalene from being stoned. Captivated, Judas leaves everything to follow him, joining the apostles as the last called. His decision to betray Jesus is not driven by greed, but by a distorted sense of sacrifice and redemption. Judas, tormented and human, accepts his role in Jesus’ destiny, ending his life in a tragic act of betrayal.
A production by Agnus Dei Production, Minerva Pictures, and Agresywna Banda.
