Minerva Pictures in Venice from 30 August to 9 September

Minerva Pictures at the next Venice Film Festival, scheduled from 30 August to 9 September 2023.

We are happy to present in the official selection in Competition "HOLLY", by Fien Troch, Belgian director
winner of the award for Best Director in Orizzonti section with "Home". Fien returns to the Lido with his
fifth feature film, co-produced by the Dardenne Brothers and distributed in Italy by Minerva Pictures. A
tough story, sometimes magical, both dark and tender. Central topic, once again, a theme dear to the
director, previously explored in works such as Kid and Home: adolescence and the impact with the
weaknesses, hopes and selfishness of the adult world.
The Giornate degli Autori will be opened on August 30 by "Nina dei lupi", by Antonio Pisu. With Sara Ciocca,
Sergio Rubini, Sandra Ceccarelli, Cesare Bocci, Davide Silvestri. A surprising fantasy thriller, which we will
hear a lot about. Minerva Pictures will handle international sales.
Then we will present in Competition in Venice Classics “Ultimo mondo cannibale” (1977), the first Cannibal-
movie in history, in a beautiful 4k restored version in collaboration with Midnight Factory.
A fitting tribute to one of the masters of Italian cinema genre, Ruggero Deodato, who died in December last
year.
Finally, The Film Club returns as official partner of the International Critics' Week (SIC) and will award, at
the end of the event, The Film Club Audience Award. We will be guests of the Casa della Critica from August
30 to September 9.
