The Avant-Garde Reborn: Enzo Nasso’s Short Film Legacy Resurfaces at the Festival: Custodi di Sogni – i Tesori della Cineteca Nazionale

3 April 2025

Today at 3:30 PM, at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, within the framework of the festival Custodi di Sogni – i tesori della Cineteca Nazionale, the presentation of the “Enzo Nasso Archive” will take place—a project dedicated to the digitization and historical restoration of short films, many of them previously unreleased, now accessible for the first time in restored versions.

The initiative, curated by Minerva Pictures in collaboration with Cinecittà, is a Rarovideo Channel Exclusive and represents an important opportunity to explore the work of preserving Italy’s cinematic heritage. Enzo Nasso—poet, writer, and filmmaker—was a key figure in the post-war avant-garde movement, significantly contributing to the development of directors and actors in the Italian underground scene.

Over thirty of his short films, ranging from artistic and documentary to social and historical pieces, will be available starting in May exclusively on Rarovideo Channel, the boutique platform for auteur, rare, and experimental cinema available on Prime Video, thefilmclub.it, and TimVision.
