The unreleased event series The Camorrist by Academy Award winner Giuseppe Tornatore, restored in 4K, is finally arriving on March 4, exclusively streaming on Rarovideo Channel,Minerva Classic, and The Film Club, available on Amazon Prime Video, The Film Club, and TIMVISION!
Nearly 40 years after its production, the series—never aired before—produced by Titanus Production and RTI-Mediaset, and distributed by Minerva Pictures, is now coming to streaming!
Filmed alongside the director’s debut feature film of the same name, the series—once thought to be lost—has been brought back to life thanks to a 4K restoration supervised by Tornatore himself.
In the five episodes of The Camorrist, Ben Gazzara plays the crime boss known as ‘o Professore, while Leo Gullotta takes on the role of Commissioner Iervolino, in a gripping narrative enhanced by a score from Academy Award-winning composer Nicola Piovani.
