The Conformist in New York: the restored 4k version hits the cinemas

Bernardo Bertolucci’s timeless masterpiece, #IlConformista, debuted for the second time in history on January 6 at the New York Film Forum, first step of the American distribution, with other selected cities. The new version is the result of a meticulous and accurate work made by Cineteca di Bologna together with Minerva Pictures and Bertolucci Foundation.
Based on the novel by Alberto Moravia, starring Stefania Sandrelli, Dominique Sanda, Jean-Louis Trintignant and Gastone Moschin, with the unmistakable touch of the three times Oscar awarded cinematographer Vittorio Storaro.
